Comes in Feburary and Sand Dunes of Jaisalmer comes alive with beautiful melodies created by harmonious "Jugalbandi" of bells attached to the gorbandh of camel and Rajasthani Musical instruments like Algoja and Morchang.With sonar fort as backdrop and traditional dancers dancing on the Tunes of folk songs,it will be hard to resist yourself from dancing.
Tourists from around the world flock to this three days vibrant festival and enjoy the taste of rajasthani delicious.

डेजर्ट फेस्टिवल आमतौर पर जनवरी या फरवरी, हर साल के महीने में, जैसलमेर में आयोजित किया जाता है. त्योहार की अवधि तीन दिन और यह पूर्णिमा, पूर्णिमा के दिन एक को समाप्त करने के लिए आता है.
डेजर्ट फेस्टिवल का मुख्य उद्देश्य राजस्थान की राज्य की समृद्ध और रंगीन संस्कृति को प्रदर्शित करने के लिए है. जीवंत और रंगीन वेशभूषा में, स्थानीय लोगों लोक नायकों की वीरता, रोमांस और त्रासदी के कसीदे सुस्त की धुन पर नाचते हैं.
जैसलमेर के रेगिस्तान महोत्सव का प्रमुख आकर्षण विशेष रूप से, गेर और आग नर्तकियों, उनकी जीवंत और रंगीन वेशभूषा में, अपने दिल पर कब्जा सपेरों, कठपुतली कलाकारों, कलाबाज़, लोक कलाकारों, आदि शामिल हैं. हालांकि, इन सब के बीच, रेगिस्तान का जहाज, ऊंट अपनी खास जगह खो देता नहीं है. इसके अलावा काफी लोकप्रिय हैं कि ऊंट की सवारी से, ऊंटों की घटनाओं की एक संख्या में भाग लेते हैं. इनमें से सबसे प्रसिद्ध और अद्वितीय वाले ऊंट पोलो और ऊंट नृत्य कर रहे हैं.

The high points of the festival are puppeteers ,acrobats,camel polo,traditional procession,camel mounted band,folk dances,etc. Proud mustached villagers,dressed in their ethnic best come astride their picturesquelly caparisoned of camels to join in the camel dances and competations of camels acrobats.Tug of war and panihari matka race are the events where visitors to the fair can participate and enjoy the thrill and taste of traditions. The turban tying competitions are big draws laughter.

The Mr. desert competitions,which are focused around the length and style of moustaches and rustic physique wrapped in traditional costumes, many visitors.

How to reach Jaisalmer by Airways:- Though Jaisalmer is not directly connected to Airways as such, Jodhpur airport is 300 Km away. Jodhpur is connected to all the major metros of India by government owned as well as private airlines. From Jodhpur you can hire Cabs or take a train journey according to your wish and preference.
How to reach Jaisalmer by Railways:- Jaisalmer is connected to major cities of India through broad gauge as well as meter gauge railway tracks. Direct trains from Jaisalmer are available to Jodhpur as well as Delhi. Jaisalmer is connected through both 'Broad gauge' as well as 'Meter gauge' tracks. You can also travel to Jaisalmer by Palace on Wheels.
How to reach Jaisalmer by Roadways:
Jaisalmer is well connected to the rest of state by well-maintained roads. Due to its proximity to Indo-Pak boarder, special emphasis is given on its maintenance. Deluxe & Ordinary buses of Rajasthan Roadways & Private companies operate form Jaisalmer to Jodhpur, Jaipur, Bikaner, Barmer, Mount Abu, Jalore, Ahemdabad etc, Roadways main bus stand opposite Railway station & Golden bus terminal near State Bank of Bikaner and Jaipur, Shiv road, Jaisalmer are the two major bus stands.
Local transportation in Jaisalmer:-
General transportation in Jaisalmer consists of auto rickshaw and bicycles because these are good means to get around. Auto rickshaw is a cheap mode of transportation but drivers might not be friendly all the times. It is recommended to take rickshaw when you take congested roads in order to avoid bottlenecks.
