सर्दियों में इस जगह की खूबसूरती और बढ़ जाती है लेकिन यहां मई से सितंबर के बीच भी जा सकते हैं। गुलमर्ग में एक बहुत ही खूबसूरत गोल्फ कोर्स है। ये गोल्फ कोर्स 1500 यार्ड में फेला है। इसका उद्घाटन सन् 2011 में उमर अब्दुल्ला द्वारा किया गया था। यहां जाने के लिए कई साधन आपको मिल जाएंगे।
यहां पर आप अल्फा थर झील पर ट्रैकिंग कर सकते हैं। ये झील आधे साल जमीं ही रहती है। यह गुलमर्ग से 13 किमी की दूरी पर है। झील के अलावा, यहां पर सैलानियों के लिए 'खिलन-मार्ग' एक मुख्य आकर्षण का केंद्र है।
