कहानी पीके (आमिर खान) एक एलियन है। जब उसका यान धरती पर उतरता है और वह बाहर आता है, तो खुद को एक नई दुनिया में देखकर हैरत में पड़ जाता है। इसी दौरान पीके का लॉकेट (जिससे वह अपने ग्रह के संपर्क में रह सकता था) कोई चुरा लेता है। पीके अपनी लॉकेट को ढूंढता है, लेकिन वह उसे नहीं मिलता। वह अपनी लॉकेट को ढूंढते हुए एक शहर में दाखिल होता है और यहां उसकी मुलाकात एक टीवी रिपोर्टर जगत जननी (अनुष्का शर्मा) से होती है। अपनी लॉकेट की तलाश करते हुए वह भोजपुरी भी सीख जाता है और इसी भाषा में संवाद करता है। वह व्यवसाय में तब्दील हो चुके धर्म के बंधक बन चुके भगवान को मुक्त कराने की बात करता है, जो लोगों को अटपटी लगती है। फिल्म मासूम पीके के तार्किक सवालों के साथ मनोरंजक ढंग से आगे बढ़ती है, जिसमें उसके साथ कुछ लोग जुड़ते चले जाते हैं। पीके की बातों का धीरे-धीरे लोगों पर असर पड़ता है। पीके कहता है कि धार्मिक आस्था पे सवाल नहीं उठाये जाते, क्योंकि ये विश्वास का मामला है। कई बार तो इस मामले में लोगों को गोली भी खानी पड़ जाती है। 'पीके' में निर्देशक राजकुमार हिरानी ने धर्म और भगवान पर इतने सवाल उठाए हैं कि फिल्म खत्म होते-होते लगता है कि हमने भगवान की उस मूरत को धो के साफ कर दिया है, जिसे सालों से ढोंगी धर्माधिकारियों ने गंदी कर मुनाफे का जरिया बनाया हुआ था। फिल्म यह दिखाने की सफल कोशिश करती है कि एक दूसरे ग्रह से आए हुए इंसान और इस धरती के आम इंसानों की तकलीफ कितनी मिलती-जुलती है। पटकथा राजकुमार हिरानी और अभिजात जोशी ने अपनी लेखनी से एक ऐसी कहनी का ताना-बाना बुना है, जिसके बहाने एक आम आदमी का दर्द बखूबी उभर कर सामने आता है। धर्म और आस्था के नाम पर चल रहे खेल को दोनों ने मनोरंजक, लेकिन तार्किक ढंग से पेश किया है। फिल्म की पटकथा इतनी भर ही नहीं हैं। 'पीके' में और भी कई ऐसे मुद्दे उठाए गए हैं, जिन्हें हम जानते हुए भी नजरअंदाज कर देते हैं। फिल्म की पटकथा कसी हुई और शानदार है। डायरेक्शन राजकुमार हिरानी ने एक बार फिर से 'पीके' में दर्शन को फिल्म की कथा का आधार बनाया है। 'लगे रहो मुन्ना भाई' में उन्होंने गांधीवाद को आज के युग में भी प्रासंगिक कर दिखाया तो 'पीके' में कबीर की छाप दिखाई देती है। राजू का डायरेक्शन बॉलीवुड के मसाला फिल्माकारों से हटके है, लिहाजा दर्शकों को हर फ्रेम में आनंद आता है। उन्होंने जितनी खूबसूरत पटकथा अपने साथी अजिताभ जोशी के साथ मिलकर लिखी है, उतना ही शानदार निर्देशन भी किया है। एक्टिंग पीके की भूमिका में आमिर खान ने अविस्मरणीय अभिनय किया है। बाकी कलाकारों ने भी अपना सर्वश्रेष्ठ दिया है। अनुष्का शर्मा फिल्म में अच्छी लगती हैं और उनका किरदार जगत जननी ताजगी का अहसास करवाता है। संजय दत्त अनूठे लगे हैं। बोमन ईरानी और सौरभ शुक्ला बहुत मजेदार है और सुशान्त सिंह राजपूत बहुत फ्रेश लगते हैं। क्यों देखें राजकुमार हिरानी का सिनेमा हर बार एक अपना अलग संसार रचता है, जिसमें ढेर सारे गंभीर मुद्दों को हास्य में पिरोकर दर्शकों को वह अपनी बात समझा जाते हैं, लेकिन 'पीके' एक अति संवेदनशील मुद्दे पर आधारित फिल्म है। फिल्म दर्शकों का खूब मनोरंजन करती है और जाते-जाते मन में कुछ ऐसे सवाल छोड़ देती है, जिसे नजरअंदाज नहीं किया जा सकता है। कुल मिलाकर दर्शकों को ये फिल्म जरूर देखनी चाहिए।
