Story of Rang Rasiya
The film is a painter Ravi Varma (Randeep Hooda), which revolves around nude pictures of Hindu deities making is clouded in controversy. Ravi Verma is married, but breaks down shortly after. 'रंग रसिया' की कहानी सदियों पहले के हमारे समाज को छूती है, जहां एक पेंटर अपनी भावनाओं को रंगो और कल्पनाओं से आकार दे रहा है। इस दौरान पेंटर की कुछ तस्वीरों को अश्लील करार दिया जाता है और उस पर केस चलता है।
कहानीफिल्म की कहानी एक पेंटर रवि वर्मा (रणदीप हुड्डा) के इर्द-गिर्द घूमती है जो कि हिन्दू देवी-देवताओं के निर्वस्त्र तस्वीरें बनाकर विवादों में घिर जाता है। रवि वर्मा की शादी होती है, लेकिन कुछ ही समय बाद टूट जाती है। इसी दौरान रवि की मुलाकात सुंगधा (नंदना सेन) से होती है। रवि सुगंधा की खूबसूरती में पड़कर उससे प्रेम करने लगता है। रवि, सुगंधा को अपनी पेंटिग्स में जगह देता है, जिससे धार्मिक गुरु और कुछ संगठन उस पर सवाल उठाने लगते हैं। इस तरह की तस्वीरें बनाने पर समाज का एक धड़ा उसकी निंदा करते हुए उसे सजा का पात्र मानता है। रवि पर सवाल उठते हैं कि आखिर उसे हिंदू देवी-देवताओं की तस्वीर बनाने की इजाजत किसने दी..कोर्ट में मुकदमा दायर होता है। रवि पर आखिरकार हमले भी होते हैं। रवि की पेंटिंग्स और उसकी जिंदगी की जर्नी को छूते हुए फिल्म अपने अंत तक पहुंचती है।
डायरेक्शनकेतन मेहता 'रंग रसिया' से पहले 'मंगल पांडे: द राइजिंग' जैसी पीरियड फिल्म बना चुके हैं। केतन की फिल्में लीक से हटकर होती हैं और कुछ ऐसी ही 'रंग रसिया' भी है। चूंकि फिल्म तकरीबन 100 साल पुरानी कहानी कहती है, लिहाजा इसके फिल्मांकन में पृष्ठभूमि बेहद मायने रखती है। केतन ने बखूबी तब के समय को फ्रेम दर फ्रेम आगे बढ़ाया है। फिल्म में बोल्डनेस है लेकिन वो भी भद्दा न लगकर कहानी का ही हिस्सा महसूस होगा।
एक्टिंगरणदीप हुड्डा ने कमाल की एक्टिंग की है। फिल्म को लंबे समय पहले शूट कर लिया गया था, बावजूद इसके रणदीप का काम काबिलेगौर है। नंदना सेन ने भी अपने किरदार को जिया है। फिल्म के अन्य कलाकारों जैसे परेश रावल, गौरव द्विवेदी और विपिन शर्मा का काम भी तारीफ योग्य है।
संगीत'रंग रसिया' कमर्शियल फिल्मों से थोड़ा हटकर है। फिल्म के संगीत इसके सब्जेक्ट के साथ मेल खाता है और कहानी को आगे बढ़ाने में मदद देता है।
क्यों देखेंकेतन मेहता की 'रंग रसिया' बेशक खास दर्शकों को ही पसंद आएगी, लेकिन कमर्शियल फिल्मों से ऊब चुके दर्शक भी इस फिल्म पर दांव खेल सकते हैं। फिल्म की कहानी और एक्टिंग दोनों ही आपको एक नया अनुभव देगी।
