विश्वविख्यात पुष्कर मेला शुक्रवार को विधिवत रूप से शुरू हुआ। नवनियुक्त जिला कलेक्टर डॉ. आरुषि अजेय मलिक ने मेला स्टेडियम में पूजा-अर्चना व तिरंगा फहराकर मेले का आगाज किया। इस मौके पर स्कूलों की 125 छात्राओं ने सामूहिक लोक नृत्य की प्रस्तुति देकर समां बांध दिया। ऊंट शृंगारक अशोक टांक ने ऊंट का मनमोहक शृंगार कर प्रदर्शन किया। मेले के उद्घाटन पर विदेशी मेहमानों व ग्रामीण युवकों के बीच फुटबॉल मैच खेला गया।
